Sumalatha is a native of Banjarpalya, Bangalore. She completed her Masters in Development Management (MBA & MSW) from Vivekananda Institute for Leadership Development, Mysore in 2019. She is passionate about working on the themes of education, women empowerment, sustainable development and conservation. This is evident in the projects she’s worked on with non-profits and certificate courses she’s taken up.

Sumalatha joined Samvada as an intern in 2021 and is currently working as a youth mentor at our youth resource centre in Bangalore. She finds her work both challenging and enjoyable. The fact that she can partake in the journey towards self-awareness and empowerment of the youth she works with and play a role in helping them realize their potential, brings her happiness and satisfaction.

Her non-work interests include travelling, reading, gardening, yoga, art & craft.
