After completing a Master’s in English Literature from Tumkur University followed by a B.Ed., Nethra began her journey as a teacher at Deeksha School. But, unsatisfied by the monotonous and mechanical modes of teaching, she decided to quit and joined Signa, a youth focussed organisation in Tumkur. At Signa, she worked intensely with youth for two years, facilitating their learning and leadership journeys. Committed to working with young people and women, she finds it very satisfying to see them build their lives, pursue their education, fight for their rights and work towards building a sustainable world.
Currently, at Samvada, she works as a youth mentor at the Chitradurga Youth Resource Centre. You may often find her seemingly quiet, but she has a witty and uproariousĀ sense of humor and takes pleasure in the little things of life. An avid reader, Nethra also loves to travel and explore new places.
