Sunitha comes from Chikkaballapura district in Karnataka. She completed a D.Ed course in 2009 and worked as a teacher in a school for a year. While circumstances had pushed her to get married at an early age, she insisted on completing her education and went on to do a Master’s in Kannada. After this, she worked for a brief period for Soil Organisation in Chintamani as a grassroots facilitator. Sunitha joined Samvada in 2018 as Youth Mentor of the Kolar YRC. Committed to working with young people, she finds it very satisfying to see them build their lives, pursue their education, fight for their rights, raise their voices and work towards building a sustainable society. Sunitha is also pursuing an LLB and is in her 3rd year.
